Germi nell’erba del giardino

Sostiene la vicina - sta’ attento alla bambina

ma io credo io dico di

no, e  forse sbagliero’,

Candies

In the third verse (“l’ora della nanna”) the rhythm is stopped for a while, and some instruments don’t play. I enjoyed playing some windchimes and a metal box to fill the space and differentiate. Here I put them in the front for you:

A seagull cry is stolen from a Beatles song, heavy filtered to isolate it from the rest. Listen to how it sounds when put in the new context (amplified and put in the front for you):

while soloed it reveals the link to the original song, with a sitar behind it:

A sign of modern production is shown in the end, where a distorted robotic 2nd voice comes out, left panned. Here it is, isolated for you:

The song, composed in 2000, was the first in a new era of production, for me. Lots of candies!

Download Software to replicate the candies

Although largely built on the old MIDI cables to an external expander, I used a virtual sampler for the first time, and loaded with samples from the CM magazine. If you don’t have any, grab the free PAAX 2:

For the robotic voice I used a comb filter plug-in, namely OhMyGod, one of those plug-ins to mess things up a little.
