Candies

After only two lines the voice is interrupted by an instrumental break with an indian sarangi solo. When the song was almost finished, I put a lot of real world war sounds under it. There is an Indian market sample, construction noises, helicopter flying from left to right, and finally an explosion. Here is the sample, isolated for you to hear:

Musically the second verse sees the entrance of a mezzacoda piano, which I play in a Benedetti Michelangeli style on Debussy’s compositions. Here it is:

There is a sort of irony in the last verse, where criminal actions are accompanied by a happy synth (I used Synth 1 for this solo), in the end it is mangled by OhMyGod! Plug-in. Hear it in action:
