Words

Passa all’attacco non lasciarmi solitario

Mescolare idee diverse in forme riconoscibili

Mescolare idee diverse in forme riconoscibili

All’interno del tessuto inserire altre culture

All’interno del tessuto inserire altre culture

Candies

In this song, I explored Cyclone Dxi, bundled with Sonar 4PE, for the manipulation of audio loops. It slices a loop and re-arrange it in a different order, you can also vary the volume and pan of the single slices. I used it to produce the 7/4 beat in the drum part:

I worked a lot on the keyboard sound by programming the old Korg Wavestation. Today it shows a bit awkward to program, but hear what comes out by just pressing two keys and hold:

In post-production, I used a odd tempo delay (3/2) on the voice occasionally, panned hard left-right, to give space and echo. In this sample you hear the Sonar automation in action where it is there and then it’s not there:

Software box

Korg Wavestation is a powerful synth (the first to introduce wavesequencing). I’ve made my own programming. Its recreation in software is imitated by a low-cost synth, Wusikstation: grab its version 1 for free every month on the CM magazine DVD, if you like wavesequencing.

For the 3/2 delay I used a VST stereo delay synced to host tempo. You may have your own in your audio application, if not check the free astonishing Voxengo tempo delay:
